About Me
Hello. My name is Sabrina Stokes.
I look forward to introducing myself in person. Here is a little about me until then.
I have been working to create change on both individual and systemic levels for children, young people and families for the past twenty years. I have done this in many different ways, working alongside people experiencing homelessness, in domestic violence court, government departments in the UK, community organisations - large and small, in schools, private business, vocational and tertiary institutions.
I enjoy and thrive from variety and diversity. I feel honoured to be able to be a part of children, young people and adults' lives to hold space and strategies during times that are challenging and transitional. I am passionate and committed to supporting professionals who are being part of a positive change for children, families and communities.
I thoroughly enjoy learning and combining new and old skills and knowledge to keep enhancing my practice. I have a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Social Science, Graduate Diploma in Education – Early Years and Training and Assessment qualifications. I would like to think the combination of these knowledge bases and skills is the foundation for a strong and holistic approach to my practice.
My practice is relationship based, trauma informed, respectful and nurturing. I enjoy ensuring that the focus of my practice is creative and with a large emphasis on connection.
